Reflection: Navigating Personal Desiers and the Force of Life

The Want I Noticed:
The desire to stay updated with government news, the urge to continue searching for the perfect “dream” property, the need to ensure everything I do is well-planned and executed promptly, the anxiety that comes from knowing tasks are waiting for me—even if they aren’t time-sensitive, the yearning to manage all these desires while maintaining balance, and the wish to reduce these desires and be content with less… to take time to do nothing without feeling anxious, guilty, or overwhelmed.

The Deep Knowing I Keep Coming Back To:
Let it be. Do you think these desires know what’s best for you? Do you truly know what’s best for your life right now? If your desires are in conflict, perhaps it’s best to set them aside for now. When the right moment or situation arrives, you’ll know what to do and where to go. That will be the right path.

So, What is the Force?
In my current understanding, the force is the deep current of the present moment. When you are truly present, you become aware of the conflicts in your mind. If there are conflicts between wanting, needing, and desiring, you’re not in that deep current; you’re caught in the waves of thoughts. By recognizing this, you allow yourself to float within these thoughts, simply observing them. This awareness grounds you, teaching you to let things be without fighting the conflicting thoughts. Continue your life with this understanding; don’t make rash decisions out of subconscious fear. Step back. When decision time comes, if you can decide while fully immersed in the present moment, then you’re truly following the force of Life. This force isn’t just my life’s force—it’s the force of all Life.

Personal Desires and the Force:
Personal desires, many times, are based on my own personality and past experiences. Therefore, following just my personal desires is like running with one eye closed. Who am I to plan my life without the knowing of the life force? Learning to follow the life force is like running with all the potential you have, with the support force pushing you in the right direction.

So What is the Right Direction?
Is it a direction toward a desired outcome in the future? No… it is the deep trust feeling inside of you. The knowing that is with you at every moment in your life. The now. And if you live your life with that knowing, trusting, and peace inside you at all times, I think that is the best way to live your life. The destination of where life takes you becomes much less important.
